Job summary

Amedisys is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant for per diem day shifts in Richardson, TX. You will provide PT services under supervision, support care plans, and document patient progress in the medical record.

The role requires PTA license in TX, CAPTE-approved program, CPR, and at least 1 year of home health experience; mentoring available for less experience. Competitive hourly pay and a range of benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Licensed to practice as a PTA in the assigned state.
• Graduated from an accredited PTA program as set by CAPTE.
• One year of PTA home health experience preferred; mentoring possible for less experience.
• Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Provides physical therapy services under supervision and according to the plan of care.
• Observes and reports patient responses and condition changes to supervising PT and clinicians.
• Documents supervisory activities and patient progress in medical records.
• Maintains confidentiality of patient information and participates in quality improvement activities.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
