Job summary

Amedisys, part of the Optum family, is hiring a Physical Therapy Assistant to deliver therapy services at home under a supervising PT. You will document patient progress, assist with care plans, and help connect patients to community resources in the San Antonio area.

Requires CAPTE-accredited PTA education, current state license, CPR, and 1+ years of related home health experience or approval/mentoring if less than one year. Competitive pay and benefits included.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a CAPTE-accredited PTA program.
• Active PTA license for the state of assignment.
• Current CPR certification and 1+ years of PT experience in home health preferred.
• If under 1 year of experience, regional leadership approval and mentoring required.

Responsibilities

• Provide PT assistant services under supervision per plan of care.
• Observe and report patient response to treatment to PT and medical staff.
• Document supervisory activities in medical records and chart notes.
• Assist in care planning, referrals, and coordination with community resources.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and participate in quality improvement activities.
