Optum is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant to perform treatment and provide exercise instruction and patient education to improve well-being per the plan of care. This role supports patients in their home environments and collaborates with a supervising Physical Therapist.

Responsibilities include gait and mobility training, coordination with the care team, and educating patients and families on therapy plans. Weekend rotation availability is required.

Formación

• Current, licensed, registered, or certified to assist in the practice of physical therapy in state of practice.
• Current driver's license and vehicle insurance or access to reliable public transportation.
• Available to work a weekend rotation.

Responsabilidades

• Follow state laws and the plan of care defined by the supervising PT; perform only qualified procedures.
• Instructs and aids patients in active and passive exercise, gait, transfer, and mobility training.
• Observes patient response and reports changes to the supervising PT and care team.
• Educates patient, family, and health care staff on therapeutic activities within scope of PTA.
• Function effectively in home settings regardless of age, race, creed, or condition.
