Job summary

Caretenders Home Health, part of the Optum family, is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant to deliver therapy per the plan of care in patients' homes and to educate patients and families. You will work under supervision, perform exercises, gait training, and ADL interventions while ensuring safety and quality care.

Requirements include active PT assistant licensure in the state, a valid driver's license, weekend availability, CPR certification, and the ability to lift and assist with mobility.

Qualifications

• Current licensed, registered, or certified to assist in physical therapy in state of practice.
• Current driver's license and vehicle insurance or access to dependable vehicle
• Available to work a weekend rotation

Responsibilities

• Follow state laws and the plan of care defined by supervising PT
• Instructs and aids patients in active and passive exercise, gait, ADL, and mobility training
• Observes and reports patient responses; coordinates care with health team
• Educates patient, family, caregiver, and other health team members on therapy within PT assistant scope
• Function in home settings regardless of age, race, creed, or disability
