Job summary

Caretenders Home Health, part of the Optum family, is hiring a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant PTA to perform treatment, provide exercise instruction and patient education under a supervising PT.

As a PTA in home health, you will follow the plan of care, help patients improve well-being, and work with a caring team. Weekend rotation and valid driver's license required; we offer a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Current, licensed, registered, or certified to assist in the practice of physical therapy in state of practice.
• Current driver's license and vehicle insurance, access to a dependable vehicle, or public transportation
• Available to work a weekend rotation

Responsibilities

• Follow state laws; act per supervising PT’s treatment plan
• Instructs patients in active and passive exercise, gait, ADL, transfer, and mobility
• Observe and report patient progress to supervising PT and care team
• Educate patient, family, and caregivers on therapy within PTA scope
• Function effectively in diverse home environments
