Job summary

Caretenders Home Health, part of the LHC Group within the Optum family, is hiring a Physical Therapist Assistant to perform treatment and provide education per the plan of care. You will work in home health, guiding patients through therapeutic exercises and functional training while collaborating with supervising physical therapists and the health care team.

Qualifications

• Current, licensed, registered, or certified to assist in the practice of physical therapy in state of practice.
• Current driver's license and vehicle insurance, access to a dependable vehicle, or public transportation.
• Available to work a weekend rotation.

Responsibilities

• Follow state laws governing home care physical therapy and the plan of care.
• Aid patients in active and passive exercises, gait and ADL training.
• Observe and report patient response to treatment to the supervising PT and care team.
• Educate patient, family, and caregivers on therapy within PTA scope.
• Function in diverse home settings and demographics.
