Job summary

UnitedHealth Group's Caretenders division is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant to support home-based therapy services. You will implement treatment plans, educate patients and families, and collaborate with supervising therapists to optimize patient well-being.

The role requires active PTA licensure, a valid driver's license, and availability for weekend rotations in a home-care setting. Comprehensive benefits and a supportive team culture are provided.

Qualifications

• Current, licensed, registered, or certified to assist in the practice of physical therapy in state of practice.
• Current driver's license and vehicle insurance, access to a dependable vehicle, or public transportation.
• Available to work a weekend rotation.

Responsibilities

• Follow state-specific laws governing provision of physical therapy in home care and act within the plan of care defined by the supervising PT.
• Instructs and aids patients in active and passive exercise, gait, ADL, transfer, safety, and prosthetic training.
• Observe and report patient responses and coordinate care with the healthcare team and supervising PT/nurse/physician.
• Instructs patient, family, caregiver, and others in therapy within the scope of the PTA.
• Function in any home situation regardless of age, race, creed, color, sex, disability, or financial condition.
