Job summary

Amedisys, part of the Optum family, is hiring a Physical Therapist to deliver skilled in-home therapy. You will promote mobility, restore function, and improve safety for patients in their homes.

Collaborate with patients, families, and an interdisciplinary team to support recovery and prevent hospitalizations. Requires state PT licensure, CAPTE-accredited education, 1+ year home health experience (or approval for mentoring if less than a year), and CPR certification.

Qualifications

• Current license to practice physical therapy in the assigned state.
• Graduate from an accredited physical therapy program as set by CAPTE.
• 1+ year of related physical therapy experience in home health preferred.
• If less than one year, approval from regional clinical leaders and mentoring/residency participation may be required.
• Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, restore, and improve movement, activity and function in patients.
• Perform interventions, conduct reexaminations at least every 30 days, update plans, and discharge planning.
• Collaborate with patients, caregivers, and care team to support recovery in the home setting.
