Job summary

UnitedHealth Group is seeking an Occupational Therapist to evaluate and treat patients in their homes, promoting independence, safety and improved quality of life. You will collaborate with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members to develop individualized plans per physician orders and agency policies.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an ACOTE-accredited occupational therapy program.
• Current license to practice occupational therapy in the assigned state.
• Driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Current CPR certification.
• Eligible to take or has completed the NBCOT entry-level certification examination.
• One year related occupational therapy experience; if less than one year, regional clinical leaders' approval and mentoring/residency may be required.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for all aspects of occupational therapy service delivery under a physician-approved plan of care.
• Ensures the plan of care addresses all problems identified in the assessment or documents rationale if problems are not addressed.
• Accountable for safety and effectiveness of the OT service delivery process.
• Completes documentation timely and accurately.
• Supervises home health aide when RN is not active in the case.
• Other duties as assigned.
