Job summary

Guardian Angel Home Care Inc. seeks a dedicated Home Health Aide (HHA) / CNA for immediate openings. This field-based role travels to patient homes across San Diego County, requiring reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license. You will assist with activities of daily living and provide compassionate care.

Active HHA or CNA certification is mandatory; prior home health or caregiving experience is preferred. Competitive hourly pay with benefits, 401(k), and paid time off are offered.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Perform light housekeeping related to patient care.
• Observe and report changes in patient condition.

What You’ll Do

• Assist patients with bathing, dressing, grooming, and hygiene
• Help with mobility, transfers, ambulation, and positioning
• Prepare meals and assist with feeding
• Perform light housekeeping related to patient care
• Observe and report changes in patient condition
• Provide companionship and emotional support
• Communicate with nurses and other members of the clinical team
• Travel between patient homes throughout San Diego County

What We’re Looking For

• Active HHA OR CNA Certification — REQUIRED
• Experience in home health, hospice, or caregiving preferred
• Reliable, compassionate, and dependable
• Ability to work independently in patient homes
• Reliable attendance and professional communication

Transportation Requirements

This is a field-based home health position, and travel between patient homes is required.

You MUST have:

• A valid driver’s license
• Your own reliable vehicle
• Your name listed on the auto insurance policy
