Job summary

Guardian Angel Home Care is seeking Home Health Aides (HHA) or CNAs for immediate openings. The role involves in-home care across San Diego County, requiring active HHA/CNA certification, a valid driver’s license, a reliable vehicle, and your name on auto insurance.

You will support patients with daily living activities, mobility, meals, hygiene, and emotional support while coordinating with nurses and the care team.

Qualifications

• Active HHA or CNA certification is required.
• Valid driver’s license is required.
• Reliable personal vehicle is required.
• Auto insurance in your name must be listed on the policy.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with bathing, dressing, grooming, and hygiene.
• Help with mobility, transfers, ambulation, and positioning.
• Prepare meals and assist with feeding.
• Perform light housekeeping related to patient care.
• Observe and report changes in patient condition.
• Provide companionship and emotional support.
• Communicate with nurses and other clinical staff.
• Travel between patient homes throughout San Diego County.

What We’re Looking For

• Active HHA OR CNA Certification — REQUIRED
• Experience in home health, hospice, or caregiving preferred
• Reliable, compassionate, and dependable
• Ability to work independently in patient homes
• Reliable attendance and professional communication

Transportation Requirements

This is a field-based home health position, and travel between patient homes is required.

You MUST have:

• A valid driver’s license
• Your own reliable vehicle
• Your name listed on the auto insurance policy

Transportation is not provided by the company.
