Job summary

Performance Food Group is hiring Shuttle Drivers to transport empty trailers to warehouse locations and deliver full trailers to domicile/shuttle yards. The role requires operating tandemtractor, tractor-trailer, or straight truck on intrastate/interstate routes with DOT compliance.

Responsibilities include safety checks, load securement, route adherence, paperwork, and timely deliveries while maintaining a professional interaction with customers.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 12 months of commercial driving experience.
• CDL A with Doubles Endorsement required.
• Must be 21 years old.
• Clean MVR for past 3 years.
• Pass pre-employment drug test.
• Pass road test.
• Valid DOT Health Card or able to secure one.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre/post trip safety checks on tractor/trailer in accordance with DOT regulations.
• Report safety issues and required repairs promptly.
• Follow DOT regulations and company safety guidelines; escalate hazards.
• Inspect trailer for proper load and secure freight.
• Ensure route paperwork is complete and available on dispatch.
• Drive and deliver trailers according to the scheduled route.
• Perform hook/unhook procedures following safety guidelines.
• Park and store tractors/trailers in designated areas.
• Secure all equipment and freight; manage damaged goods returns as needed.
• Maintain daily hours of service logs per regulations and company policy.
• Keep truck, loading dock, and trailer areas clean and organized.
• Carry out other duties as assigned.
