Job summary

Performance Food Group is seeking a Shuttle Driver to transport empty trailers to warehouses and deliver full trailers to domicile/shuttle yards. You will operate various trailers on intrastate and interstate routes, in compliance with DOT regulations, and interact with customers and coworkers professionally.

The role emphasizes safety checks, route adherence, and proper documentation, with a focus on timely deliveries and equipment security. Training and safety culture are highlighted.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 12 months commercial driving experience required.
• Valid CDL A with Doubles Endorsement.
• Must be 21 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Perform safety checks (pre/post trip) per DOT regulations.
• Report safety issues and needed repairs.
• Follow DOT regulations and company safety guidelines.
• Ensure route paperwork is with the tractor-trailer at dispatch.
• Drive and deliver trailers according to the planned schedule.
• Perform hook/unhook procedures safely.
• Park and store tractor trailers in designated areas.
• Lock and secure all equipment and freight.
• Handle damaged goods and returns per procedures.
• Complete daily hours-of-service logs per regulations.
• Maintain clean workspace and trailers between loads.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
