Job summary

Performance Food Group is seeking a Shuttle Driver to transport empty trailers to warehouse locations and deliver full trailers to domicile/shuttle yards. This role requires DOT-compliant driving, strict safety checks, and timely communications with customers and teams.

Training includes 2 weeks in Temple, TX. Benefits start Day 1, with growth opportunities in a fast-paced food-distribution environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent Experience.
• 6-12 months commercial driving experience.
• Valid CDL A with Doubles Endorsement.
• Must be 21 years of age.
• Meet all State licensing and/or certification requirements (where applicable).
• Clean MVR for past 3 years.
• Work 3rd shift: Sunday-Thursday nights (schedules vary).
• Pass pre-employment drug test and road test.
• Valid DOT Health Card or able to secure one.
• Able to lift 60–90 pounds and operate lift equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform safety checks pre/post trip per DOT regulations.
• Inspect tractor/trailer and secure freight properly.
• Follow DOT regulations and company safety policies.
• Ensure route paperwork is ready for dispatch.
• Drive and deliver trailers on scheduled routes.
• Perform hook/unhook procedures and park/store equipment.
• Complete daily hours-of-service logs as required.
• Maintain clean, safe tractor and dock areas.
