Job summary

D.R. Horton, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Superintendent to support the site management of our home communities, ensuring quality workmanship, safety compliance, and on-time delivery.

You will assist in scheduling and supervising subcontractors, overseeing inspections, and maintaining cleanliness standards while delivering excellent customer service to homeowners. This role requires a high school diploma or GED, limited experience, a valid driver's license, and the ability to read plans.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Ability to read plans and construction documents.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Commitment to customer satisfaction.
• Must have valid driver’s license and be willing to drive among construction sites.

Responsibilities

• Inspect each home daily to assure quality and adherence to plans and schedule.
• Schedule and walk all inspections with inspectors.
• Walk completed homes before homeowner walk-through and closing to ensure readiness.
• Conduct homeowner orientation and follow-up walks for satisfaction.
• Assist Superintendent in managing subcontractors with cost, safety and scheduling.
• Enforce site safety program and company standards.
• Assist in maintaining site cleanliness and order.
• Provide superior customer service during all construction phases.
