Job summary

D.R. Horton, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Superintendent to support the community job site management for home construction.

You will assist in scheduling and supervising subcontractors, maintain quality standards, manage costs, conduct homeowner walk-throughs, inspections, and safety compliance. Responsibilities include site inspections, coordinating with inspectors, and ensuring timely, high-quality delivery.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 6 months to 2 years of related experience.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to drive among construction sites.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Commitment to customer satisfaction.
• Ability to read plans and other construction documents.
• Ability to utilize DRH Construction applications on a mobile device.
• Proficiency with MS Office and email.
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Inspect each home daily to assure quality and adherence to plans and schedule.
• Schedule and walk inspections with inspectors.
• Inspect homes prior to homeowner walk-through and closing to ensure completion and quality.
• Conduct homeowner orientations and additional walks for satisfaction.
• Assist in managing subcontractors with focus on quality, safety, scheduling and cost control.
• Enforce site safety program and subcontractor compliance.
• Assist in material management to reduce damage and theft.
• Support construction schedule to deliver high-quality product on time and within budget.
• Provide superior customer service during all phases of construction.
• Develop positive relationships with subcontractors and homeowners.
