Job summary

Clayton is seeking a Home Consultant to guide customers through floor plans, options, and coordinating construction for manufactured homes. You will create a premier home buying experience, while maintaining customer files and following up via CRM.

Ideal candidates demonstrate relationship-driven sales, strong communication, and team collaboration. The role requires weekend availability and the ability to model and show homes in all seasons.

Qualifications

• At least 6 months of relationship driven business to consumer sales preferred.
• General understanding of the retail environment.
• Ability to obtain appropriate manufactured home sales licensing.
• Learn and comply with legal requirements that apply to the sale of manufactured homes.
• Strong verbal communication skills.
• Ability to excel and contribute to a team environment.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work required schedule, including Saturdays.
• Professional demeanor and appearance.
• Ability to walk the lot and show homes throughout all seasons.
• Ability to move and lift furniture, promotional items, etc. (up to 75 lbs.)
• Subject to criminal background check and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Create a world class home buying experience by guiding customers to identify a floor plan and options.
• Coordinate the construction progression and showroom presentations.
• Maintain customer files and provide timely follow-up with prospective buyers via CRM.
• Assist manager with merchandising, decorating models, and maintaining home appearance.
• Develop and execute a strategic sales and marketing plan to increase center traffic.
• Present display homes, demonstrate features and benefits to create added value.
• Set home center visits by converting ad calls and web leads, and schedule appointments.
• Participate in sales meetings, training opportunities, and company functions.
• Collaborate with team members to insure smooth operations.
