Job summary

Pacific Office Automation, a leading document imaging and technology dealer, seeks a Wide Format Service Technician to support customers nationwide. This home-based role requires travel across the Central and Eastern regions and involves installation, maintenance, and training on wide format equipment.

The ideal candidate is self-motivated with strong customer service skills, familiar with Onyx/RIP workflows, and able to work independently from a home office while coordinating multiple

Qualifications

• Minimum 2–6 years of field service experience.
• Experience servicing wide format equipment and related tech.
• Experience with Canon wide format printers preferred.
• Knowledge of Onyx software and production RIP workflows preferred.
• Strong Windows operating system knowledge.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Willingness to travel ~50% across Central/Eastern US.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record.

Responsibilities

• Provide phone and onsite technical support to customers.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, upgrade software, and perform maintenance on production print equipment.
• Install, deinstall, relocate equipment and train customers’ operators.
• Follow up post-installations to ensure proper operation.
• Coordinate upcoming installations and site readiness (power, RIP compatibility).
• Maintain service records and documentation per company standards.
• Support sales with technical evaluations and upgrade opportunities.
• Operate effectively in a fast-paced customer-focused environment.
