Job summary
Optimal Care is seeking a Physician in Physician Services to deliver advanced primary and specialty care, often in patients' homes or care settings. You will have autonomy to focus on thoughtful, patient-centered care, improving comfort and quality of life.
You will mentor NPs and PAs, coordinate with families and interdisciplinary teams, and travel daily within the Saginaw service area. Strong leadership and clinical excellence are essential.
Qualifications
- MD or DO degree and valid medical license.
- Board certification in family medicine, internal medicine, geriatric or palliative care.
- Minimum 2 years of healthcare leadership or supervision experience.
- Reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and automobile insurance.
Responsibilities
- Provide advanced primary and specialty care to geriatric and medically complex patients, often in home or care settings.
- Lead and mentor Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants to ensure high-quality, coordinated care.
- Develop individualized treatment plans and coordinate care with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
- Work to improve patient outcomes, reduce hospitalizations, and enhance quality of life.
