Job summary

The Salvation Army Southern California in Spokane, WA is seeking a Christmas Kettle Program Assistant to support kettle operations, data entry, and record keeping. You will help schedule workers, create profiles, and ensure timely entry of daily time cards and deposits.

You will communicate with clients, donors, and the public, assisting in outreach and coordination of kettle activities under the supervision of the Kettle Coordinator. Strong organization and confidentiality are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Relevant work experience in a similar program preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare kettle worker hiring paperwork.
• Set up kettle worker profiles and enter daily time card data.
• Process daily deposit slips and file forms.
• Answer phones with a pleasant voice and assist in Kettle Operations Office.
• Assist with communications with clients, the public, and donors.
• Contact individuals/companies to support kettle campaign.
• Support Kettle Coordinator and staff with additional duties as needed.
• Proficient in typing, data entry, organizing, and filing.
• Learn Excel, Lotus Notes, and related tools as needed.
• Work with diverse populations and maintain confidentiality.
• Collaborate in a team-oriented environment and meet payroll/hiring deadlines.
• Maintain confidential Kettle Worker paperwork in secure files.
