Job summary

The Salvation Army is seeking a Kettle Assistant to support our annual Christmas campaign by coordinating kettle sites, daily routes, and bell ringers. This role focuses on data entry, scheduling, payroll for paid ringers, and thanking volunteers, helping ensure smooth operation of kettles in designated locations.

You will assist with kettle transportation, handle inquiries, address issues with corps officers, and help prepare funds for bank deposits while maintaining a positive, respectful work

Qualifications

• Must be of good moral character and able to interact in a friendly and compassionate manner.
• Pass pre-employment background inquiry and annual motor vehicle check with a valid driver's license.
• High School Diploma or Equivalent; significant customer service experience considered in lieu.
• Able to work days, evenings, weekends, and holidays as necessary.
• Typing skills required; comfortable with computers and learning new software.
• Ability to work with diverse backgrounds in a respectful, culturally appropriate way.

Responsibilities

• Data entry and use of the kettle scheduling and payroll system.
• Coordinate kettle sites and daily routes; enter totals.
• Assist with transporting kettles and bell ringers.
• Answer inquiries from bell ringers and kettle drivers.
• Address kettle issues with corps officers.
• Sort kettle funds and deliver to bank.
• Maintain positive work atmosphere and professional conduct.
• Maintain Safe from Harm certification compliance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
