Job summary

The Salvation Army seeks a Kettle Assistant to support bell ringing and logistical tasks for the annual Christmas campaign. The role involves data entry, scheduling routes, payroll, and coordinating kettle operations with corps officers.

Local travel is required; temporary status through December 24. Must pass background and motor vehicle checks with a valid license; High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have good moral character and compassionate interaction ability.
• Background check and motor vehicle check with valid license required.
• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent; customer service experience may substitute.

Responsibilities

• Data entry and usage of the Register to Ring platform to coordinate kettle sites.
• Schedule daily routes, enter kettle totals, handle payroll for bell ringers, thank volunteers.
• Assist with transporting kettles and bell ringers to locations.
• Field phone inquiries about kettle operations from bell ringers and sites.
• Address kettle issues with corps officers; ensure safety and compliance.
• Sort kettle funds and deliver to bank as needed.
• Maintain positive, courteous work atmosphere and professional communication.
• Comply with The Salvation Army Safe from Harm policy and other duties as assigned.
