Job summary

Legum and Norman is hiring an experienced HOA General Manager for its large-scale HOA community in Woodbridge, VA. The General Manager is an onsite role overseeing all office, administrative, and maintenance projects to include capital improvements. The GM serves as liaison among homeowners, the Board, committees, staff, and vendors.

Annual salary: $115K-$125K. The role requires 3+ years of association experience and CMCA/AMS/PCAM certification.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of community association experience.
• Willingness to obtain CMCA, AMS, or PCAM (company paid).
• Customer service driven and team oriented.
• Takes ownership and initiative; proactive communication.
• Ability to interpret financials and create budgets.
• Effective project management skills; prioritize multiple projects.
• Excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Implement Board policy and directives within the management agreement.
• Walk the community; ensure maintenance and rules compliance.
• Issue violation notices and follow up for corrections.
• Meet homeowners, board members, staff, and contractors.
• Research inquiries in person, by phone, and email.
• Create and manage budgets; review financials and reserves.
• Submit RFPs; manage vendor selection and capital projects.
• Prioritize requests; coordinate on-site maintenance work.
• Prepare board packages; schedule monthly/annual meetings.
• Send weekly communications to homeowners about guidelines and events.
• Assist homeowners with architectural review forms.
