Job summary

Legum and Norman, an Associa company, is seeking an experienced HOA General Manager to oversee a large-scale HOA community in Sterling, VA. This onsite role coordinates administration, maintenance projects, budgets, and capital improvements, serving as the liaison between homeowners, the board, staff, and vendors.

You will implement board policy, inspect the community, issue violation notices, manage financials, prepare board packages, and lead monthly and annual meetings.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of community association experience.
• Knowledge of the Association Board of Directors, the General Manager, and how those roles interface with homeowner requests.
• Willingness to obtain CMCA, AMS, or PCAM (company paid).
• Customer service driven and team oriented.
• Proactive communication and forthcoming with ideas to improve processes, create efficiencies, and reduce expenses.
• Ability to interpret financials and create budgets (Balance Sheet, Income Statement, Operating Expenses, Reserve Study).
• Effective project management and ability to prioritize multiple projects.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with conflict resolution skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee onsite HOA office, admin, and maintenance projects including capital improvements.
• Serve as liaison among homeowners, board, staff, and contractors.
• Implement Board policy within the management agreement.
• Inspect community and ensure compliance with codes and regulations.
• Issue violation notices and follow up to ensure corrections.
• Create and manage budgets; review financial reports and reserves.
• Prepare board packages and coordinate monthly/annual meetings.
• Submit RFPs and manage vendor selection for capital projects.
• Coordinate maintenance requests and schedule vendors for onsite work.
• Communicate with homeowners via mail and email.
