Responsibilities

• Assist in selecting appropriate home and respiratory medical equipment based on documentation.

• Meet timeframes for patient discharge and communicate with referrals when OSF HME cannot meet delivery timelines.
• Coordinate with HME leadership to ensure efficient service delivery.
• Interact with all roles in the HME operational infrastructure.

Expected pay for this position is $18.80 - $22.12/hour. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity. This is an Hourly position.

Overview

This job is located in Rockford,IL

Monday-Friday 8:30am-5pm

POSITION SUMMARY: The HME Centralized Intake Representative will be a resource for primary care, specialist and midlevel providers to assist in the selection of the most appropriate level of home and respiratory medical equipment for referred patients based on the medical documentation. Responsible for educating and providing guidance on deficient documentation to ensure there are no delays and disruption to patient care. The HME Centralized Intake Representative is responsible for meeting timeframes for patient discharge and communicating with referral sources when OSF HME is unable to meet delivery expectations. Works with HME leadership to ensure services run efficiently. Interacts with every position in the HME operational infrastructure.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: High school graduate or equivalent. 1 year customer service experience. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to be detail oriented.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Able to educate and operate home medical equipment. 1 year home medical equipment experience. Knowledge of reimbursement and regulatory requirements for HME. Prior experience working with health care government and accrediting agency body guidelines. Knowledge of ICD.9 and related HCPC codes.
