Job summary

OSF HealthCare in Peoria, IL is seeking an HME Centralized Intake Representative. This role supports primary care, specialist, and midlevel providers to select appropriate home and respiratory equipment for referred patients based on medical documentation.

The position requires a high school diploma, 1 year of customer service experience, strong communication skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office. Monday–Friday 8:30am–5pm, on site at OSF HealthCare.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• 1 year customer service experience.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software.
• Demonstrates ability to work independently and execute own workload.

Responsibilities

• Assist in selecting the most appropriate level of home and respiratory equipment for referred patients.
• Educate and provide guidance on deficient documentation to prevent delays and disruption to patient care.
• Meet timeframes for patient discharge and communicate with referral sources when OSF HME cannot meet delivery expectations.
• Collaborate with HME leadership to ensure services run efficiently and interact with every position in the HME operational infrastructure.
