Job summary

OSF HealthCare in Mendota, IL is seeking a Patient Access Associate to ensure complete and accurate medical records, including demographics, insurance, and registration accuracy. You will explain financial responsibilities and support patients in a smooth facility experience.

The role requires strong customer service, computer skills, and the ability to navigate multi-payer communications. This is an hourly, part-time position with three evening shifts weekly.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1 year in an office clerical or customer service setting.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and basic website navigation.
• Strong problem solving, time management and communication skills.
• Complete role-specific revenue cycle training within 12 months.

Expected pay for this position is $18.80 - $22.12/hour. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity. This is an Hourly position.

Overview

This job is located in Mendota,IL

230pm to 11pm. 3 days a week. every other week and rotating holidays. Training will be full time on day shift.

24 hours a week-

25% of the time for training.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Patient Access Associate ensures each registered patient has a complete and accurate OSF medical record, which includes patient demographics, insurance coverage, responsible guarantor and registration precision in a manner which they understand what services they are receiving, their financial responsibilities for the services provided, and expectations of them while at the facility. Excellent patient service skills are expected to create an exceptional first impression of OSF's services to the patients, families, and other external patients over the phone or in person. A high degree of deductive reasoning and logic skills are necessary in order to solve issues that can arise in a complex, multi-payer situation.

Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Education: High school diploma or GED
• Experience: One year in an office clerical setting or customer service environment
• Other skills/knowledge: Working knowledge of standard Microsoft Office applications and website navigation
• Problem solving, conflict management, time management, good oral and written communication skills
• Required to complete all role specific revenue cycle training and certification within 12 months

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience: Three years in an office clerical setting or customer service environment. Direct experience in a revenue cycle or medical setting
• Other skills/knowledge: Advanced knowledge of CPT4, ICD9/10, HCPCS, and modifiers. Knowledge of medical terminology
