Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred
• Must be able to operate hand and power tools
• Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds repeatedly
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
• Comfort working outdoors in all weather and around traffic

Responsibilities

• Perform roadway maintenance and emergency response on active highways
• Install, repair, and replace guardrails and signs
• Repair potholes using asphalt and concrete
• Clean drainage systems to prevent flooding
• Set up traffic control devices and lane closures
• Respond to emergencies and winter weather events
• Operate light equipment and document work on smartphones
