Job summary

Roy Jorgensen Associates, Inc. is seeking full-time Roadway Maintenance Technicians in Texas to join our outdoor maintenance team. You will be part of a crew performing highway upkeep, emergency responses, and traffic control to keep roads safe for the traveling public.

The role involves operating equipment, repairing guardrails, signs, and drainage systems, and coordinating with teams during storms or incidents. A valid driver's license and ability to lift 50 pounds are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred and valid driver's license.
• Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds repeatedly and work safely around high-traffic environments.
• Pass pre-employment background screening, MVR review, and controlled-substance testing.

Responsibilities

• Perform roadway maintenance on active highways and roadways.
• Install, repair, and replace guardrail, signs, delineators, and other safety devices.
• Repair potholes and pavement damage with asphalt and concrete.
• Clean ditches and drainage to prevent flooding.
• Respond to roadway emergencies and severe weather.
• Set up traffic control devices and manage work zones.
• Operate equipment and document work via company apps.
