Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking a Task Leader for highway design projects in the New England region. This role can be based in Boston, MA, East Hartford, CT, or Manchester, NH, providing leadership and technical guidance across the project lifecycle.

You will mentor junior staff, develop design criteria and cost estimates, and collaborate with project teams to deliver innovative, compliant transportation solutions for diverse clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Transportation, or Structural Engineering or related discipline.
• Professional engineering (PE) license.
• 10 years of related experience.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the technical advancement of highway design projects and ensure design accuracy throughout the project lifecycle.
• Provide day-to-day oversight of transportation planning and design projects, meeting milestones and quality standards.
• Supervise, review, and mentor junior engineers; provide technical guidance and growth opportunities.
• Develop project design criteria, alignments, construction plans, specs, and cost estimates.
• Collaborate with Project Leaders/Managers to deliver high-complexity projects and ensure client requirements are met.
