Job summary

Canon Business Process Services, Inc. in Atlanta, GA seeks a Print Operator to provide exceptional service and operate print and production equipment, including cutting, binding, laminating, and basic copier/printer maintenance.

You will review and prioritize print requests, ensure quality, manage logs, perform light equipment maintenance, and assist in print center operations. The role offers comprehensive training and a positive work environment.

Qualifications

• High school Diploma or equivalent.
• 1-5 years experience working directly in a print center.
• Some familiarity with the general job functions and minimal understanding of the detailed aspects of the job.
• Knowledge of machine operations from low to high volume high speed duplicating equipment.
• Proficiency in the use of reproduction-related equipment & facilities (fax, scanner, punches, staplers, inserters, folders, paper cutters, spiral-binding, velo-binders, stitcher and collaters, counters).
• Close supervision involving detailed instructions and constant checking on work performance.
• Excellent customer service, professional attitude and appearance is a must.
• Ability to work overtime and meet deadlines.
• Ability to follow directives and handle physical demands.
• Possess strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Review, prioritize and submit print requests according to complexity and urgency; ensure outputs are quality checked and meet instructions.
• Deliver print jobs within established timeframes; maintain logs of all work submitted and completed including service logs.
• Perform minor maintenance of reproduction equipment; solve paper jams; place service calls and routine cleaning.
• Take meter readings daily; monitor inventory of print supplies, stock paper and toners.
• Inform clients of estimated completion time and resolutions for delays or issues.
• Open and close the print center; keep the center neat and professional.
• Adjust image quality and organize directories for print-on-demand orders; handle special client requests.
• Prepare monthly production and volume reports to measure productivity and billing.
