Job summary

Canon Business Process Services operates a print center focused on delivering high-quality copy/print solutions. The Print Operator uses production equipment for cutting, binding and laminating, and provides basic troubleshooting for copiers and printers.

The role emphasizes customer service, meeting deadlines, and maintaining accurate logs while supporting daily print center operations and on-demand requests.

Qualifications

• High school Diploma or equivalent.
• 1-5 years experience working directly in a print center.
• Some familiarity with the general job functions and basic understanding of the detailed aspects of the job.
• Knowledge of machine operations from low to high volume duplicating equipment.
• Proficiency with reproduction-related equipment & systems (fax, scanner, punches, staplers, inserters, folders, paper cutters, spiral-binding, velo-binders, stitcher and collaters).
• Demonstrated customer service, professional appearance, and ability to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Review, prioritize and submit print requests according to complexity and urgency, ensuring outputs meet instructions.
• Deliver print jobs within established timeframes and maintain service logs.
• Perform minor maintenance, clear paper jams and place service calls.
• Take meter readings daily and monitor print supplies inventory.
• Inform clients of completion estimates and resolve delays or issues to client satisfaction.
• Assist in opening/closing the print center and keep the area neat and professional.
• Adjust image quality and manage on-demand printing tasks with high speed, high-volume printers.
• Prepare monthly production and volume reports for productivity and billing.
