Job summary

GE Vernova seeks a Production Test Operator in the United States to perform current transformer testing, gas tightness checks on circuit breakers, and high voltage dielectric testing in the HV lab. The role requires careful attention to testing procedures and safety.

You will document data, compare results to specifications, and ensure traceability of all test records. Collaboration with engineers and customers is expected to resolve issues and drive quality improvements.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of related experience in test, quality control, or manufacturing.
• Ability to read and interpret IEEE/IEC circuit breaker and test standards and procedures.
• Effective written and verbal communication; professional interaction with customers.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT tests including Hi-pot, ratios, and related testing per PIT.
• Perform gas tightness testing on circuit breakers and locate leaks.
• Conduct HV dielectric testing on circuit breakers per PIT.
• Move breakers in/out of the lab and maintain a safe, organized workspace.
• Accurate documentation of test data and ensure full traceability.
• Communicate failures and findings via Quality Concern Reports (QCRs).
• Support continuous improvement of test procedures and safety rules.
