Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking a Production Test Operator for the High Voltage lab. The role focuses on routine testing of current transformers, gas tightness checks on circuit breakers, and dielectric testing to ensure compliance with customer specs and internal quality standards.

Duties include lab setup, safety compliance, data documentation, and reporting test results. The candidate will work in a manufacturing environment, communicating findings and ensuring traceability of all test records.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Electronics Engineering Technology or equivalent required.
• Minimum 2 years in test, quality control, or manufacturing.
• Ability to read schematics, test standards, safety rules, and procedure manuals.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT testing including Hi-pot, ratio tests, and related testing per PIT procedures.
• Conduct gas tightness testing on circuit breakers and document issues (QCRs).
• Perform high voltage dielectric testing per PIT procedures and report results.
• Move breakers and set up equipment, maintain lab safety and cleanliness.
• Document test data, prepare reports, and ensure traceability of records.
