Job summary

GE Vernova, Inc. in Kentucky is seeking a Production Test Operator to perform routine testing of current transformers, gas leak testing of circuit breakers, and dielectric testing in the High Voltage lab.

You will accurately document data, ensure traceability, and uphold safety rules while working with high-voltage equipment and test procedures.

Candidate should have at least two years of related experience, strong attention to detail, and good communication for customer witness tests.

Qualifications

• Two years of related experience in test, quality control, or manufacturing.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics and test standards (IEEE/IEC).
• Strong communication and teamwork for customer witness tests.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT testing including Hi-pot, ratios per PIT procedures.
• Conduct gas tightness testing on circuit breakers and report findings.
• Perform high voltage dielectric tests and document results.
• Document test data, prepare reports, and ensure traceability.
• Maintain a clean, safe lab and assist with process improvements.
• Move and position breakers and handle equipment safely.
• Coordinate with engineers and production staff on test results.
