Job summary

GE Vernova, Inc. is seeking a Production Test Operator for the High Voltage lab. You will perform routine testing of current transformers (CT), gas tightness testing of circuit breakers, and dielectric testing to ensure compliance with customer specs and internal quality standards.

The role requires attention to detail, a focus on safety, and the ability to document results, troubleshoot failures, and communicate findings to engineers and technicians.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of related experience in test, quality control, or manufacturing.
• Associates degree in Electronics Engineering Technology or equivalent.
• Ability to read and interpret IEEE/IEC circuit breaker and test standards and procedures.
• Strong written and verbal communication; professional interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform current transformer (CT) testing including Hi-pot and ratio checks per PITs and standards.
• Perform gas tightness testing on circuit breakers following PITs and standards, troubleshoot leaks.
• Perform high voltage dielectric testing on circuit breakers per PITs and standards, troubleshoot issues.
• Move breakers in/out of the lab safely and maintain a clean, organized, safe work area.
• Accurately document test data, prepare reports, and ensure traceability of records.
• Support continuous improvement of test procedures and safety practices.
