Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking a Production Test Operator to perform routine testing of current transformers (CT), gas tightness tests for circuit breakers, and high voltage dielectric tests in the HV lab. The role emphasizes accuracy, traceability, and compliance with PIT procedures.

Responsibilities include handling test equipment, documenting data, and ensuring a safe, organized lab environment. Prior lab experience and strict adherence to safety protocols are required.

Qualifications

• Experience in test or quality control in manufacturing.
• Ability to read schematics, standards, and procedures.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for witness tests.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT tests including Hi-pot, ratios, and additional tests per PIT.
• Conduct gas tightness testing on circuit breakers per PIT.
• Carry out high voltage dielectric tests and document results.
• Move and position test breakers; ensure safe lab operations and PPE usage.
• Record data, prepare test reports, and ensure traceability of results.
