Job summary

SOLV Energy, Inc. is seeking a High Voltage Project Detailer to perform detailed quantity takeoffs, material analyses, and constructability reviews for high-voltage substation projects.

This fully remote role supports preconstruction, estimating, procurement, engineering, and operations with a focus on accurate budgets and bid proposals. Responsibilities include creating BOMs, coordinating with vendors, and supporting construction detail drawings and field revisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Associate degree in a related field preferred.
• 3–7 years experience in electrical construction or high-voltage substations.
• Proficiency with estimation/detailing software and drawing systems.
• Familiarity with EPC/utility project delivery methods and equipment layouts.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed quantity takeoffs from drawings, specs and bid documents.
• Quantify substation components: foundations, structural steel, grounds, bus, cables, equipment terminations.
• Create BOMs, reports, and constructability reviews; identify cost risks.
• Develop labor units, productivity assumptions, and installation durations.
• Prepare procurement packages and support vendor coordination.
• Assist project teams with budget tracking, change orders, and turnover.
