Job summary

SOLV Energy, Inc. is seeking a High Voltage Project Detailer to perform detailed quantity takeoffs, material analysis, and constructability reviews for high-voltage substation projects.

This role supports preconstruction, estimating, procurement, engineering, and operations to deliver accurate material quantities and BOMs for bids and budgets. This position is fully remote with location details discussed in interviews.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering Technology, Drafting, Electrical Engineering, or related field preferred.
• Minimum 3 to 7 years of experience in electrical construction and high-voltage substations.
• Experience with utility infrastructure and industrial electrical projects.
• Proficiency with Bluebeam Revu and Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with estimating software platforms and project controls.
• Ability to interpret one-line, three-line diagrams, site plans, and various drawings.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed quantity takeoffs from drawings, specifications, and bid documents.
• Quantify major substation components (foundations, structural steel, grounding, bus, conduits, cables, terminations).
• Develop BOM summaries and material reports.
• Verify scope completeness and identify design gaps and cost impacts.
• Assist in labor units, productivity assumptions, and installation durations.
• Support estimate development for EPC and design-build projects.
• Develop and review construction detail drawings and project layouts.
• Coordinate drawing revisions and maintain document control.
• Support engineering with design reviews and field revisions.
• Generate procurement-ready material lists and assist procurement.
