Job summary

SOLV Energy, Inc. is seeking a High Voltage Project Detailer to perform detailed quantity takeoffs, material analysis, and constructability reviews for substation projects. The role supports preconstruction, estimating, procurement, engineering, and operations, developing accurate material quantities and BOMs.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering Technology, Drafting, Electrical Engineering, or a related field preferred.
• Minimum 3 to 7 years of experience in electrical construction, high-voltage substations, utility infrastructure, industrial electrical projects.
• Experience in estimating or detailing roles is required.
• Proficiency with Bluebeam Revu, Microsoft Excel and estimating software platforms.
• Ability to interpret One-line, Three-line diagrams and site plans, structural drawings and protection & control drawings.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed quantity takeoffs from drawings, specs, and bid documents.
• Quantify major substation components: foundations, structural steel, grounding, bus systems, conduits, cable trays, control and power cables, equipment terminations, fencing, site development.
• Develop material quantity reports and BOM summaries.
• Verify scope completeness and identify design gaps, cost impacts.
• Assist in labor units, productivity assumptions, and installation durations.
• Support estimate development for EPC, design-build, and utility projects.
• Develop and review construction detail drawings and project layouts.
• Coordinate drawing revisions and maintain document control.
• Assist procurement with material lists and vendor quotations.
• Support project managers with budget tracking and quantity reconciliation.
