Job summary

SOLV Energy, Inc. is seeking a High Voltage Project Detailer to support preconstruction, estimating, procurement and design for substation projects.

This fully remote role requires advanced quantity takeoff, BOM creation, and constructability reviews across 12kV–500kV equipment, with collaboration across engineering, estimating and field teams. Responsibilities include detailing drawings, coordinating procurement, reviewing vendor quotes, and maintaining project documentation.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering Technology, Drafting, Electrical Engineering, or a related field preferred.
• 3–7 years of experience in electrical construction or high-voltage substations.
• Experience with utility infrastructure, EPC and design-build projects.
• Proficiency with Bluebeam Revu and Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with estimating software platforms and BIM tools.

Responsibilities

• Estimating & quantity takeoffs from drawings, specs, and bid documents.
• Develop material quantity reports and BOM summaries.
• Verify scope completeness and identify gaps and cost impacts.
• Develop labor units, productivity assumptions, and installation durations.
• Prepare procurement-ready material lists and vendor coordination.
• Support project execution with budget tracking and quantity reconciliation.
• Review field reports and assist with turnover documentation.
