Job summary

Greystar is seeking a Maintenance Technician to ensure building systems and common areas meet safety and quality standards at a high-rise property. You will handle work orders, preventative maintenance, and the make-ready process for vacant units.

The role requires EPA refrigerant certifications, state/local licenses, and a valid driver’s license. Schedule is Monday–Friday with rotating on-call, offering comprehensive benefits and on-site housing discounts.

Qualifications

• EPA Type 1 and II or Universal refrigerant recycling certifications required.
• State and Local certifications as required for service technicians.
• Valid driver’s license to operate on-property vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Completes assigned work orders generated from resident requests for service, as well as preventative maintenance on the property by diagnosing the source or cause of the defect and making repairs in accordance with policies, safety standards, and code requirements.
• Completes the “make‑ready” process to prepare vacant apartment homes for leasing by completing the pre‑move‑out inspection, creating a punch list, scheduling vendors, obtaining supplies, completing maintenance tasks, and inspecting work.
• Follows procedures for obtaining materials from the property’s maintenance department by tracking inventory, returning unused items, and notifying re-order needs.
• Completes documentation and other paperwork so service requests can be tracked.
• Assists in maintaining grounds, common areas, and amenities by cleaning, pressure-washing, painting curbs and signage as needed.
• Supports cost‑cutting by fixing rather than replacing parts when possible and using materials efficiently.
