Job summary

SRM Concrete (Smyrna Ready Mix) is seeking a proactive Central Dispatch professional to connect customers, drivers, and plants for accurate deliveries. In this role you’ll multitask across orders, schedules, and priorities while delivering exceptional service and safety compliance.

You will lead by example, foster teamwork, and use dispatch/logistics software to optimize daily operations. A customer-focused mindset and strong communication are essential to succeed in this high-volume environment.

• Proven ability to multitask in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
• Passion for delivering outstanding customer service in every interaction.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; build trust with customers and teammates.
• Leadership experience and a collaborative, team-first mindset.
• Quick to learn new systems and technology; proficiency with Microsoft Office and dispatch/logistics software is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Champion customer service: handle calls and communications with urgency and care.
• Juggle multiple orders, schedules, and priorities with plant managers, drivers, and sales teams.
• Lead by example, upholding professionalism and team excellence.
• Monitor performance metrics and suggest improvements to keep operations running smoothly.
• Resolve customer inquiries, delivery or quality issues; turn challenges into opportunities.
• Build relationships with customers, suppliers, and SRM team members for seamless communication.
• Promote safety by following regulations and policies to create a safe work environment.
• Participate in meetings and contribute to planning and process improvements.
