Job summary

Maxim Healthcare is hiring a Home Health Aide to provide personal care to an adult female patient with ADL support in a full-time day schedule. The role involves following the plan of care, assisting with bathing, dressing, feeding, and safety tasks, while maintaining patient comfort and dignity.

Responsibilities include taking vital signs when ordered, assisting with transfers, ROM, and documenting changes for the supervising nurse.

Qualifications

• Meets training requirements per state and federal laws.
• Ability to read, follow written instructions and document care.
• CPR certification current.
• PPD or chest x-ray if applicable.
• Successful completion of Maxim screening examinations.
• Participation and completion of Maxim’s competency program.
• Meets all federal, state, and local requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist patient per plan of care: baths, oral hygiene, dressing, toileting, feeding.
• Take and record vital signs when ordered.
• Safe transfer and ambulation; assist with ROM and therapy exercises.
• Perform simple procedures as ordered.
• Assist with patient’s laundry.
• Observe safety and educate on home safety.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for assisting patient with and per plan of care, the following;
  • Baths, Oral hygiene, Dressing and undressing, Toileting activities, feeding, etc
  • Taking and recording oral, rectal and axillary temperatures, pulse, respiration and blood pressure when ordered (with appropriate completed/demonstrated skills competency)
  • Safe transfer and ambulation techniques
  • Exercise according to the plan of care
  • Performing range of motion and other simple procedures as an extensional therapy service as ordered (with appropriate completed/demonstrated skills competency)
  • Patient’s laundry
  • Meeting safety needs of patients and using equipment safely and properly (foot stools, side rails, etc.)
  • Observation and teaching of home safety practices
  • Recognition of an emergency situation and knowledge of emergency management procedures
• Must follow patients plan of care and complete all tasks assigned
• Communicates in a constant, clear, and effective way with the client, family/caregiver and office
• Observes and documents patient condition and reports any changes, to the assigned nurse supervisor

Requirements
