Job summary

Maxim Healthcare Services is hiring a Home Health Aide (HHA) to provide personal care to meet patient needs in the home setting.

Role includes assisting with daily living activities, documenting vitals, and following the care plan under nurse supervision. CPR certification and state compliance are required; health benefits and weekly pay are offered.

Qualifications

• Assist patient with daily living activities per care plan.
• Monitor and document patient condition and vital signs as ordered.
• Ensure safe transfers and ambulation.
• Provide attentive personal care including hygiene and feeding as needed.
• Observe and report changes to supervising nurse.

Hourly Pay: $15 / per hour

Responsibilities

• Responsible for assisting patient with and per plan of care, the following;
• Baths, Oral hygiene, Dressing and undressing, Toileting activities, feeding, etc
• Taking and recording oral, rectal and axillary temperatures, pulse, respiration and blood pressure when ordered (with appropriate completed/demonstrated skills competency)
• Safe transfer and ambulation techniques
• Exercise according to the plan of care
• Performing range of motion and other simple procedures as an extensional therapy service as ordered (with appropriate completed/demonstrated skills competency)
• Patient’s laundry
• Meeting safety needs of patients and using equipment safely and properly (foot stools, side rails, etc.)
• Observation and teaching of home safety practices
• Recognition of an emergency situation and knowledge of emergency management procedures
• Must follow patients plan of care and complete all tasks assigned
• Communicates in a constant, clear, and effective way with the client, family/caregiver and office
• Observes and documents patient condition and reports any changes, to the assigned nurse supervisor

Requirements

• Meets all training requirements in accordance with state and federal laws when applicable
• Ability to read, follow written instructions and document care given
• Possess and maintains current CPR certification in accordance with state regulation
• PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
• Successful completion of Maxim screening examinations
• Participation and completion of Maxim’s competency program
• Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements
