Maxim Healthcare Services, Inc. is hiring a Home Health Aide (HHA) in San Antonio, TX to provide personal care under the patient’s plan of care.

The role focuses on assisting with daily living activities, safety, and observation to support patient well-being. Responsibilities include bathing, hygiene, feeding, transfer and ambulation support, monitoring vitals when ordered, following the care plan, and communicating clearly with the nurse supervisor and family.

Qualifications

• CPR/AED certification required
• Clear communication with client/family and supervisor
• Ability to read and follow written instructions and document care
• Must meet Maxim screening and competency program requirements
• Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with bathing, hygiene, dressing, feeding and daily activities
• Follow patient plan of care and implement safety measures
• Record and report observations to nurse supervisor
• Assist with transfers, ambulation and exercise as ordered
• Observe home environment and educate on safety practices
• Respond to emergencies per protocol

Hourly Pay: $14 - $18

Maxim Healthcare Services is hiring for a Home Health Aide (HHA) to provide personal care services, as necessary, to meet the patient’s needs.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for assisting patient with and per plan of care, the following;
  • Baths, Oral hygiene, Dressing and undressing, Toileting activities, feeding, etc
  • Taking and recording oral, rectal and axillary temperatures, pulse, respiration and blood pressure when ordered (with appropriate completed/demonstrated skills competency)
  • Safe transfer and ambulation techniques
  • Exercise according to the plan of care
  • Performing range of motion and other simple procedures as an extensional therapy service as ordered (with appropriate completed/demonstrated skills competency)
  • Patient’s laundry
  • Meeting safety needs of patients and using equipment safely and properly (foot stools, side rails, etc.)
  • Observation and teaching of home safety practices
  • Recognition of an emergency situation and knowledge of emergency management procedures
• Must follow patients plan of care and complete all tasks assigned
• Communicates in a constant, clear, and effective way with the client, family/caregiver and office
• Observes and documents patient condition and reports any changes, to the assigned nurse supervisor

Requirements:

• Meets all training requirements in accordance with state and federal laws when applicable
• Ability to read, follow written instructions and document care given
• Possess and maintains current CPR certification in accordance with state regulation
• PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
• Successful completion of Maxim screening examinations
• Participation and completion of Maxim’s competency program
• Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements
