Job summary

Maxim Healthcare Services in Fort Worth, TX is hiring a Home Health Aide (HHA) to provide personal care per the patient’s plan of care. You will assist with baths, dressing, grooming, feeding, and safety tasks.

Qualifications

• Must meet state and federal training requirements where applicable.
• Ability to read, follow written instructions and document care given.
• CPR certification maintained in accordance with state regulations.
• Successful completion of Maxim competency program and Maxim screenings.

Responsibilities

• Assist patient with and per plan of care for baths, oral hygiene, dressing, toileting and feeding.
• Take and record temperatures, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure when ordered.
• Perform safe transfers and ambulation, and guide exercise as ordered.
• Carry out range of motion and simple procedures as directed.
• Handle patient laundry and maintain safety using equipment properly.
• Observe, document patient condition and report changes to the nurse supervisor.

Hourly Pay: $15 - 20 / an hour

Maxim Healthcare Services is hiring for a Home Health Aide (HHA) to provide personal care services, as necessary, to meet the patient’s needs.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for assisting patient with and per plan of care, the following;
• Baths, Oral hygiene, Dressing and undressing, Toileting activities, feeding, etc
• Taking and recording oral, rectal and axillary temperatures, pulse, respiration and blood pressure when ordered (with appropriate completed/demonstrated skills competency)
• Safe transfer and ambulation techniques
• Exercise according to the plan of care
• Performing range of motion and other simple procedures as an extensional therapy service as ordered (with appropriate completed/demonstrated skills competency)
• Patient’s laundry
• Meeting safety needs of patients and using equipment safely and properly (foot stools, side rails, etc.)
• Observation and teaching of home safety practices
• Recognition of an emergency situation and knowledge of emergency management procedures
• Must follow patients plan of care and complete all tasks assigned
• Communicates in a constant, clear, and effective way with the client, family/caregiver and office
• Observes and documents patient condition and reports any changes, to the assigned nurse supervisor

Requirements:

• Meets all training requirements in accordance with state and federal laws when applicable
• Ability to read, follow written instructions and document care given
• Possess and maintains current CPR certification in accordance with state regulation
• PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
• Successful completion of Maxim screening examinations
• Participation and completion of Maxim’s competency program
• Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements
