Maxim Healthcare Services is hiring a Home Health Aide (HHA) to provide personal care services in home and school settings in Reading, PA. Hourly pay ranges from $15 to $18 and fulltime day shifts are available.

Responsibilities include assisting with daily living activities, taking vitals as ordered, safe transfers, ROM exercises, and following the patient’s plan of care. The role requires CPR certification and completion of Maxim’s competency program, with comprehensive benefits offered.

Qualifications

• Meets all training requirements in accordance with state and federal laws when applicable.
• Ability to read, follow written instructions and document care given.
• Possess and maintains current CPR certification in accordance with state regulation.
• Participation and completion of Maxim’s competency program.

Responsibilities

• Assist patient with and per plan of care, including baths, hygiene, dressing, toileting and feeding.
• Take and record oral, rectal and axillary temperatures, pulse, respiration and blood pressure when ordered.
• Safe transfer and ambulation techniques; assist with exercise per plan of care.
• Perform ROM and other simple procedures as ordered.
• Handle patient laundry and observe safety practices; teach home safety.
• Follow plan of care, complete tasks, and communicate clearly with client and office.
• Observe and document patient condition; report changes to the nurse supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for assisting patient with and per plan of care, the following;
  • Baths, Oral hygiene, Dressing and undressing, Toileting activities, feeding, etc
  • Taking and recording oral, rectal and axillary temperatures, pulse, respiration and blood pressure when ordered (with appropriate completed/demonstrated skills competency)
  • Safe transfer and ambulation techniques
  • Exercise according to the plan of care
  • Performing range of motion and other simple procedures as an extensional therapy service as ordered (with appropriate completed/demonstrated skills competency)
  • Patient’s laundry
  • Meeting safety needs of patients and using equipment safely and properly (foot stools, side rails, etc.)
  • Observation and teaching of home safety practices
  • Recognition of an emergency situation and knowledge of emergency management procedures
• Must follow patients plan of care and complete all tasks assigned
• Communicates in a constant, clear, and effective way with the client, family/caregiver and office
• Observes and documents patient condition and reports any changes, to the assigned nurse supervisor

Requirements
