Job summary

Maxim Healthcare Services is hiring a Home Health Aide (HHA) to provide personal care services according to the patient\'s plan of care. The role includes assisting with bathing, grooming, feeding, and daily activities in the patient’s home.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist patient per plan of care: baths, hygiene, dressing, feeding.
• Take and record temperatures, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure when ordered.
• Safe transfer and ambulation, assist with ROM exercises as ordered.
• Perform simple procedures as extensional therapy as ordered.
• Handle patient laundry and maintain safety practices at home.
• Observe, document, and report changes to the assigned nurse supervisor.

Hourly Pay: $12- $14 per hour

Maxim Healthcare Services is hiring for a Home Health Aide (HHA) to provide personal care services, as necessary, to meet the patient’s needs.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for assisting patient with and per plan of care, the following;
  • Baths, Oral hygiene, Dressing and undressing, Toileting activities, feeding, etc
  • Taking and recording oral, rectal and axillary temperatures, pulse, respiration and blood pressure when ordered (with appropriate completed/demonstrated skills competency)
  • Safe transfer and ambulation techniques
  • Exercise according to the plan of care
  • Performing range of motion and other simple procedures as an extensional therapy service as ordered (with appropriate completed/demonstrated skills competency)
  • Patient’s laundry
  • Meeting safety needs of patients and using equipment safely and properly (foot stools, side rails, etc.)
  • Observation and teaching of home safety practices
  • Recognition of an emergency situation and knowledge of emergency management procedures
• Must follow patients plan of care and complete all tasks assigned
• Communicates in a constant, clear, and effective way with the client, family/caregiver and office
• Observes and documents patient condition and reports any changes, to the assigned nurse supervisor

Requirements:

• Meets all training requirements in accordance with state and federal laws when applicable
• Ability to read, follow written instructions and document care given
• Possess and maintains current CPR certification in accordance with state regulation
• PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
• Successful completion of Maxim background screening examinations
• Participation and completion of Maxim’s competency program
• Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements
• Must have active hands on CPR/First aide certification
• Must have active negative TB examination
