Job summary

HALO Diagnostics in Denver, CO is seeking an Entry-level Patient Navigator (Patient Support & Phlebotomy) to guide patients through hereditary cancer genetic testing and coordinate care. The role includes education, specimen collection, and close collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to deliver a compassionate patient experience.

The position is in-person, full-time, on weekdays with a competitive compensation package and stock options within HALO Dx. English/Spanish bilingual preferred.

Qualifications

• Nationally certified phlebotomist with strong venipuncture skills.
• Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience (front office or back office).
• Minimum of 2 years of experience with insurance verification and prior authorizations.
• Current BLS certification.
• Experience with diagnostic or genetic specimen collection.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation (if travel is required).

Responsibilities

• Guide patients through the hereditary cancer genetic testing process from start to finish.
• Provide education on testing, procedures, and next steps.
• Serve as the primary patient contact to ensure a supportive and informed experience.
• Conduct structured patient consultations to ensure clarity, accuracy, and consistency.
• Own patient cases, scheduling, follow-ups, and workflow coordination.
• Perform venipuncture and collect blood specimens for genetic testing.
• Maintain accurate documentation in EMR/EHR systems.
